Time: Max Going Away - Perception, 2-30 August 2018 - Valletta, Palazzo La Salle - Malta

Just silver and wood in their simple essence - our installation for the collective MSA Annual Member's Exhibition.

.
The concept behind "Time: Max Going Away" is our perception of time through the signs it leaves. Signs left on a driftwood, on people, on lives.
Subtle and delicate - like silver drops - or deep like veins and cracks on the wood.

.
During the final phases of the work a very close friend decided that his time was over, that the signs on his soul were too deep - and decided to say goodbye. We chose to name the installation after him and his story: "Time: Max going away".

It's difficult to say how such a sad event, like the death of a good friend, can be related to a work which- in our perception - is not sad. We think it's simply life, sad and strong together.

Thank you to MSA, to its President Adrian Mamo, to its Joe Scerri, to the curator of the exhibition Roderick Camilleri and to all the MSA members we met. It has been a great experience and it will be a great exhibition.
